GIVEAWAY: One Mayerling DVD starring Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer AND one DVD of your choice from our website

This 1957 television “spectacular” starred real life just-married Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer in their television premiere — the second of their two “on screen” appearances together.  (Audrey Hepburn and Mel Ferrer also starred in Dino de Laurentiis Production of War and Peace, 1956.)  This hugely-expensive LIVE television production was broadcast just once, over NBC, on February 24, 1957.  The primitive archival film copy has been digitally mastered from the original kinescope negative and released on our new “Mr. FAT-W Video” silver and blue label.

  8. shojea said: Hi! Do you know if it is true that when Audrey moved to London in the late 1940's she worked for extra money doing modelling jobs?

Hi!! Yes, that’s true, Audrey did modelling jobs in the late 1940s and in the early 1950s. The pictures taken in the 50s are quite popular, you can easily find them, but unfortunately I can’t tell you the same about the pictures taken in the 40s (they are quite rare).

  9. This is one of the best documentaries about Audrey, it includes videos from all the trips she took while working with UNICEF and provides a lot of information about her work as a humanitarian. The producer of this documentary is Robert Wolders.
